Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°Look with Faith.¡±
We must live with faith. When Jesus saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said, ¡°Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?¡± Philip judged with his own experience and knowledge and concluded that it was impossible. However, Andrew came to Jesus with five barley loaves and two fish with faith as small as a mustard seed despite his doubt. Jesus accepted this faith and performed an amazing miracle. No matter what kind of situations we face, we experience miracles when we move forward with faith.

Because Philip relied on his own experience and knowledge, he thought that feeding thousands of people in the desert where there was nothing was impossible.

John 6:5-7 says, ¡°When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, ¡®Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?¡¯ He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. Philip answered him, ¡®Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!¡¯"

When Jesus asked Philip, he answered negatively to Him.
When a pilot drives an airplane into the air, the most dangerous mistake he commits is to use his all senses such as eyes, nose, and ears. A pilot shouldn¡¯t rely on and judge according to his senses but focus on the instrument panel in front of him. He must control according to what the instrument panel shows, never judging by his sight whether the airplane flies high or low, right or left. It is the same with us. When we walk the path of life. we shouldn¡¯t rely on our own experience or senses, but follow what the word of God leads us by faith.
Without faith in Jesus we are unable to experience miracles.

Hebrews 11:6 says, ¡°And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewads those who earnestly seek him.¡±

Where there is no faith there would be no miracle. When Jesus visited His hometown and taught in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were amazed. "Where did this man get these wisdom, intelligence and talents?" they asked. He could not do any miracles there.

Mark 6:5-6 says, ¡°He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith. Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.¡±

At His own hometown He could not do any miracles there because they didn¡¯t have any faith in Him. In the Bible, when God solved His people¡¯s problems, if they came to Him with a big vessel, He would work greatly; if they came to Him with a small vessel, He would work accordingly. Whatever vessel you have before God, He will fill it or stop filling it. Then Philip couldn¡¯t feed the crowd. It was impossible to feed anyone because his vessel was nonexistent so God had nothing to fill in. However, Andrew, Peter¡¯s brother, wasn¡¯t smart, but had a tiny faith. His faith wasn¡¯t big enough. How could his faith be big as he came forward with five small barley loaves and two small fish? Nevertheless, he went to Jesus trembling with his small faith such as five small barley loaves and two small fish.
When the Lord did a miracle, with what did He work it? Jesus did a great miracle with those five small barley loaves and two small fish! God performs a miracle with what we have. He regards our faith very seriously.

Andrew had a small faith.

John 6:8-9 says, ¡°Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, ¡®Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?¡¯"

Philip said that it was impossible to feed the crowd, but Andrew began to find the way anyway. Then he saw a little boy having a lunch box. However, only five small barley loaves and two small fish were there. Barley loaves were poor Jewish people¡¯s food while two small fish was their side dish; they were so small salted fish. We would refuse to try them. Barley loaves were so miserable food and fish was salted small fish. However, Andrew brought them to Jesus. ¡°Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" Even though he said this humbly, but Andrew actually had faith as much as five small barley loaves and two small fish! He wasn¡¯t a man of no faith. On the contrary, Philip had no faith at all. He was knocked down completely. But Andrew was a man of faith even if it was so small! His faith might be flickering but it shined! Andrew¡¯s words showed that his faith was not big enough, but the Lord accepted his small faith and did a marvelous miracle. Even if we come forward with a faith like a mustard seed to the Lord, He will use it for a material for His miracle. What should we come to Him with?
Our empty hands can¡¯t bring any miracle. Jesus said in Luke 17:6 as follows,

¡°He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.¡±

Therefore, the Lord works miracles and what we should do is to come to Him with faith. When we come forward with faith, the Lord will judge whether it is big or small and work miracles.

We are living in the wilderness-like life where everything lacks.

Job 5:7 says, ¡°Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.¡±

Ecclesiastes 7:14 says, ¡°When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.¡±

There aren¡¯t only problems but Jesus is always with us there.

Isaiah 41:10 says, ¡°So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.¡±

When the Lord holds us, it is far important that we should cling to Him with faith. No matter how Jesus is with us all the time, if we do not hold Him but wander away from Him, it would be to no avail. We all have faith as small as a mustard seed. If we seek God¡¯s answer to our problem with that small faith like a mustard seed, He will work a miracle through it.
If we do not seek but remain helpless, the Lord will let us alone. We must plant the seed of faith and believe that God¡¯s miracle will happen and confess it in advance.

Mark 11: 24 says, ¡°Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.¡±

If we pray and believe it without doubt, God¡¯s answer will come to us according to our faith.

1 John 5:14-15 says, ¡°This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.¡±

The Lord will give us according to what we ask of Him. God never forgets but always takes good care of His children who believe and follow Him.

Isaiah 49:15 says, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!¡±

Even if a mother can forget the baby at her breast, God never forgets His children. Even if parents forget their child, our God never forgets or abandons His children. How many birds live on this earth? Birds are known as the greatest numbers of species among animals. They outnumber the whole population of the world a couple of times. Then God feeds all the birds on His own! Jesus said to His disciples, ¡°Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?¡±(Matthew 6:26) Naturally children of God are more precious than birds! Therefore, our God never fails to feed us. Jesus said in Matthew 6:25 as follows,

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?¡±

We must look to our good God and have a living faith.
As we live our lives, we should not rely on humans¡¯ experiences or knowledge only. We must look to our Almighty and good God and live by faith. We must believe that God is always with us and work big and amazing miracles for us.
