Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°For Tomorrow the Lord Will Do Amazing Things among You.¡±
The Israelites who spent more than forty years in the desert after leaving Egypt finally had the promised land of Canaan in front of them. In order to enter the land, they had to cross the Jordan River, which was their last gateway. However, they faced a situation where they could not cross the river because it was at flood. The Jordan was at flood stage all during harvest. However, God said, ¡°When you reach the edge of the Jordan's waters, go and stand in the river." Obeying the word meant putting life at stake. When the Israelites obeyed the word with faith and stood in the Jordan¡¯s waters, God performed a great miracle by stopping the flowing river and revealing a dry land in the midst of the Jordan.

God said to the priests to take up the ark of the covenant and cross the river.
The ark of the covenant which stayed in the midst of the Israelites symbolizes the presence of God. Taking up the ark of the covenant means to go with God. Within the ark of the covenant were the two tablets Moses had received from God. As the ark had the two tablets of the word of God, wherever the Israelites went, it was the center of them. Therefore, God commanded the priests to take up the ark and enter the Jordan as the Israelites passed the desert and were going to enter the Land of promise flowing with milk and honey. Joshua 3:6 says that God commanded the priests to take up the ark and cross the Jordan. ¡°Joshua said to the priests, ¡®Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of the people.¡¯ So they took it up and went ahead of them.¡± The Israelites couldn¡¯t see God with their eyes, but the ark of the covenant where God presented was right before them. It is because the ark of the covenant symbolizes the presence of God. Therefore, to take up the ark of the covenant meant that they moved forward with God.

Joshua 1:5 says, ¡°No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.¡±

Today we must cross the Jordan of various problems with Jesus while relying on His cross. What kind of the ark of the covenant do we have? The Bible says, ¡° Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you?¡± Our bodies are the ark of the covenant. God is within us the ark of the covenant through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, whatever we do we must invite God and do with Him. As the Spirit of God is with us, if we serve God and follow His will, He will be with us. Today as the Israelites carried the ark of the covenant with them, we must take up the cross of Jesus in our lives.

1 Corinthians 2:2 says, ¡°For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.¡±

Through Jesus Christ and His crucifixion, we have a new covenant with God, Jesus Christ is our ark of truth. This ark symbolizes God¡¯s presence; when we take up this, we are going with God Himself. God said to the Israelites in Joshua 1:5 as follows,
¡°No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.¡±

Jesus Christ has become our ark of the covenant and stays within us and says, ¡°And surely I am with you always,¡± wherever we go. Today we must rely on the cross of Jesus and cross the Jordan of various problems with Him. Worry, anxiety, restlessness, irritation, and despair always come to us. We can¡¯t overcome them on our own. However, whenever they come, we must realize that Jesus our ark of the covenant is with us and rely on Him and then miracles of God will happen to us! While we are living in this world, we walk on the path where we have never been before. We are fearful whenever we have to go where we have never been before. Furthermore, since we are born in the unfamiliar world we have never been before, we have so many difficulties. However, Our Lord Jesus always sheds light whenever we face them. We need to follow Jesus to the end. Life means that we should walk the path we have never been before so we can¡¯t be sure what will happen next.

James 4:14 says, ¡°Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.¡±

We can win a victory in life only when we challenge the impossible holding the word of God. In Joshua Chapter 14, Caleb challenged with faith.

Joshua 14:12 says, ¡°Now give me this hill country that the LORD promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."

The hill country Hebron Caleb asked was the rough terrain and had many fortresses so it was hard to conquer. In addition, there lived the Anakites the giants. Therefore, to conquer that land could be impossible. However, Caleb gave a challenge against it with faith. He believed that as God was with him he could conquer it. Listen to Caleb¡¯s words. ¡°You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.¡±

Even at the age of 85, Caleb could say like this because he took hold of the word of God. When I read this, I feel like God says this to me. Caleb had faith like this at the age of 85, but I am only 83 years old so please help me take courage and strength. When we rely on the word of God, we can overcome all the evil attacks from the devil and live a victorious life.

We should like a life that always challenges with faith. Einstein once said, ¡°Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.¡± If a boat is docked in the harbor, it has no fear of being wrecked even at the great storm. However, a boat is never made for being docked in the harbor, but for sailing at the wide sea. Mark Twain said, ¡°So throw off the bowlines. Sail off from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.¡±
A ship is made for sails. Therefore, we should not stay in the safe harbor. We are told to sail the oceans. We must believe in our good and Almighty God and try the challenge of faith in life.

However, we sometimes have doubts even in our prayers. However, James said in James 1:6-7, ¡°But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord.¡±

When we come before the Lord and pray to Him, we must seek His help with faith. God says, "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?¡±(Jeremiah 32:27)
When we believe in our Almighty God and pray to Him, God will do miraculous things in our lives and let us cross the impossible river.

Proverbs 16:1 says, ¡°To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.¡±

Proverbs 16:3 says, ¡°Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.¡±

Proverbs 16:9 also says, ¡°In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.¡±

Therefore, when we are in the midst of life crisis, we must commit all our problems to the Lord. Then He will do amazing things for us.

When the priests stood in the Jordan¡¯s waters by taking up the ark of the covenant, God made the water from upstream stop flowing. Thus, the Israelites walked on dry ground and entered the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey. Likewise, when we have faith and obey before God, He will do wonderful things for us. If we carry the cross of Jesus, the Jordan of problems will be divided through our prayer. The Jordan of sins, transgressions, diseases, poverty, and death must be parted before us.

2 Corinthians 4:10 says, ¡°We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.¡±

If we have to suffer much with Jesus, it means that we will experience the glory of God that much. We need to speak and act positively like this in life.

Philippians 4:13 says, ¡°I can do everything through him who gives me strength.¡±

And within the ark of the covenant the priests took up was the word of God. Today I pray that we all become the ark of the covenant which carries the word of God in it. The ark of the covenant represents the presence of God and wherever God presents amazing signs and wonders will appear. Wherever God presents there is always spiritual, physical, and material prosperity and we can have the life to the full. When Jesus started His earthly ministry by proclaiming, ¡°Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand,¡± He immediately did signs and wonders and healed so many sick people and made them whole. He also called His twelve disciples and told them, ¡°When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there.¡± Even today the Holy Spirit must present in the church to perform marvelous signs and wonders. If God is powerless, He can¡¯t be a God at all. Miracles will happen. It will be done according to your faith. Therefore, when we come before God, we need to believe that God will get rid of all the evil things the devil brings upon us and expect that miracles of God will happen to us.

Psalm 119:50 says, ¡°My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.¡±

Psalm 107:19-20 says, ¡°Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.¡±

Hebrews 4:12 says, ¡°For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.¡±

Nevertheless, we are in great trouble by not reading this important, living word of God. I pray in the name of the Lord that we can dream a hopeful dream every day and that our country will take the lead the whole world to the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey while passing through the wilderness.

Philippians 2:13 says, ¡°for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.¡±

Psalm 103:5 says, ¡°who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.¡±

When we serve God and invite the word of truth in the ark of the covenant in our hearts, miracles of God will happen in life. Therefore, congregation of Yoido Full Gospel Church, we must walk with God. To walk with God means that we need to read, hear, see, and speak the word of God with our mouths. Like the Israelite priests entered into the Jordan with faith, we must accept whatever God commands with faith. Our thoughts and minds must be renewed.

Isaiah 26:3 says, ¡°You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.¡±

Ephesians 4:23-24 says, ¡°to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.¡±

Romans 12:2 says, ¡°Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.¡±

As we come before God with renewed thoughts and minds, our individual life, homes, children, business, and circumstances will become a whole new world. God wants you to be prosperous spiritually, materially and live a happy life. God wants above all to give you a joyful and happy world. He wishes that you enjoy peace and happiness. He wants you to leave the wilderness and to enter the land flowing with milk and honey. When we invites Jesus Christ our Lord, He will let us pass through the wilderness and get rid of evil forces and enter the beautiful world the Lord presides. Nowadays, our enemy devil tries to kill and destroy us wherever we go. However, the Lord wants to give us something good all the time. He wants to give us miracles. When we remember this living God and converse with Him and invite Him in our lives and rely on Him and give thanks to Him always, miracles of God will happen to us. In this blessed life, the Jordan of problems will be divided and the land of God flowing with milk and honey will appear before us!
