Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°The Power from Behind.¡±Just as walls in the countryside can stand when they are strongly supported, our life needs strong support so that it does not fall when storms of life come.

Today all the countries around the world have various military defense systems against war. When their enemies attack, they would be defeated helplessly and many people would be sacrificed without defense system.
It is the same with our hearts; they need strong defense system.
It is Jesus who is our defense system in our hearts.
Jesus¡¯ Fivefold Gospel and Threefold Blessing have already defeated Satan through His cross. Therefore, when we rely on Jesus, His victory becomes our defense system against Satan.
1John 4:4 says, ¡°You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater
than the one who is in the world.¡±

Jesus protects us as He already won by His suffering on the cross
so He is the best defense system in the world. Whosoever assumingly cries out, ¡°I can win on my own without Jesus,¡±
will be always defeated.Apostle Paul called Christians as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. A good soldier usually prepares for war
in peaceful times. He receives any tough and hard training and always prepares for the coming attack of his enemy.
As a good soldier of Christ Jesus, we are waging an invisible spiritual warfare every day. However, we do not fight on our own.
We are fighting with the power of God. Therefore, we should always read the Word of God and pray so our hearts will be filled
with the Word of God and have mighty strength.

There are the Holy Spirit who controls our lives behind us and the devil, too. Even if they are invisible, the Holy Spirit is our powerful supporter while the devil becomes a destructive connection of those unbelievers. The Philistine showed the de facto power behind the war with Israel.

1 Samuel 17:45-47 says, ¡°David said to the Philistine, ¡®You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.¡±

Here are the Philistine and Goliath on one side and David and the God of Israel on the other side in 1 Samuel 17:46-47.

¡°This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands.¡¯"

What a bold declaration it was!

When Jesus¡¯ disciples took Him along in the boat, a furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. As the waves became bigger, they thought that they would drown sooner or later. They woke Jesus who was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. They said to Him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" They wondered why He rebuked the waves and the wind as if they were humans. They couldn¡¯t understand the situation. The devil was working behind the high waves. He tried to drown Jesus Christ through high waves and the gust. His disciples only saw the waves, but Jesus rebuked the devil who worked behind the waves so he ran away from Him and then the wind died down and it was completely calm. The waves did not die down gradually. The sea was not calm slowly. As the devil shook them, they became wild, but as soon as he let go of them, the wild sea was instantly calm. The wind also died down. Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Why are you so afraid?" They thought, ¡°How curious! Even waves and wind respect Jesus! How could He sleep and then wake up and calm the waves down instantly!¡±

Mark 4:39 says, ¡°He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ¡®Quiet! Be still!¡¯ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.¡±

The wind didn¡¯t just die down. ¡°It was completely calm.¡±
It is because Jesus, God Himself, knew that the devil was working behind the wind. When we fight against our enemies, if we are full of fear, we can¡¯t win over them. God told the Israelites to keep in mind Deuteronomy 20:1 when they went to war, ¡°When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.¡±
No matter how many their enemies were, they shouldn¡¯t fear them at all, but look to God who would be with them and trust in Him.
They didn¡¯t need to fear their enemies no matter how many they were or how well-armed they would be. Invisible Jesus supported and helped the Israelites to enter the land of Canaan. To give this lesson to the army was very important. And God also gave them a specific guidelines when they were about to go into battle, the priest should come forward and address the army.
¡°He shall say: ¡®Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.¡¯"(Deuteronomy 20:3-4) According tothese word of God we must believe in Him and not be fainthearted or afraid or terrified or give way to panic, but rely on Him and give thanks to Him. Hallelujah! ¡°The officers shall say to the army: ¡®Has anyone built a new house and not dedicated it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may dedicate it.¡¯¡±(Deuteronomy 20:8) When they all went to war, some of them became fearful and said negatively, ¡°What shall we do? We will be killed. We have an army much smaller than theirs.¡± Then the army should send them back to home. Their fear would take away their friendly¡¯s courage. As fear is contagious, other soldiers would lose their strength to fight because of it. When they fought against their enemies, one man would chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight. When they moved forward without fear, as God was with them, such a great thing would happen.

When Jesus was on the earth as our Lord, the devil tried everything to kill Him. However, Jesus completely defeated Satan who is the power of evil from behind.

In Genesis 3:15, ¡°And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

The offspring of the woman indicates unbelievers. ¡°He will crush your head and you will strike his heel.¡± Colossians 2:13-15 says,
¡°When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.¡±

Here Jesus made us filled with the life of God in this invisible place on behalf of us. You know, the cross is a wonderful and graceful hand of God that shows us de facto power. What hanged on the cross of Calvary was that the cross destroyed the invisible sins of ours. How many sins have you done in our lives?
From childhood till death our whole sins were washed away by the blood of the Lord on the cross. Therefore, we have become a forgiven righteous man but we have never seen our sins. The blood of Jesus forgives our sins and makes us righteous in an invisible place and washes away our sins and makes us holy. Jesus was whipped on His back until His ribs were revealed to heal our diseases. By His stripes we are healed. Even though it is invisible to us, He became our miracle; He died on the cross to remove our curses. More often than not, whenever we have these negative thoughts, ¡°I can¡¯t make it. It is impossible. It is beyond my ability,¡± look to the cross of Jesus. Even before we think of it, Jesus removed our curses and failures. You know, our success lies in there. Our blessings are on the cross. We must look to the cross and say, ¡°Lord, I believe. I believe that you give me success and blessing on the cross. Thank you!¡± We can¡¯t see it with our eyes, but the cross is behind our overwhelming success. Some of you may think that death is the end of the world, but Jesus¡¯ death and resurrection become our supporter so we have this life of resurrection in our hearts.

When Daniel prayed to God, the angel of God came in response to it. But the devil, the ruler of the kingdom of the air resisted him twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help him and repelled the devil so finally Daniel¡¯s prayer was answered!

In a spiritual world, when we pray, don¡¯t be discouraged if God¡¯s answer to our prayer doesn¡¯t come soon. Many times the devil blocks it, saying, ¡°This person doesn¡¯t deserve God¡¯s answer. Then why do you want to give him answer?¡±¡°This man has been lying, stealing and sinning so many times so he isn¡¯t qualified to receive an answer from You.¡± Therefore, we must resist to the end with patience. ¡°Even though I have sinned, the Lord already washed them away by His blood on the cross.¡± The power to resist the devil and win over him lies in the Fivefold Gospel and the Threefold Blessing. God became a human and was torn in flesh and shed His blood on the cross to permit all the conditions for us to win; God already gives us an amazingly enormous gift. In our daily lives, the devil tends to come and is cast out always while Jesus comes to give us His grace. Martin Lloyd Jones, English evangelical preacher, said that the fiercest spiritual battleground in the world would be human heart. Our hearts are a battlefield itself. In our lives exasperating annoyance can happen, but if we stick to it continually, it will give the devil a foothold.

Ephesians 4:26-27 says, "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.¡±

When we become enraged and hold anger, the Bible says that the devil cuts in and arouses argument among us through it.

Proverbs 4;23 says, ¡°Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.¡±

We must know this and realize that the invisible third party always follows us. If we pray to God, we can oppress and drive out the devil. Do you have many people who pray for you? It saves a lot of support. I think I have countless people who pray for me. Then I have supports of prayer behind me. Those supports of prayers encourage me in my ministry. If you pray much in advance, when you are too busy to pray, it will be a great help for you. When we become the power from behind through prayer, we will accomplish many things whatever we do. It is because we have prayed much to God.

When our prayers are saved in heaven, God will release our savings of prayer in our need while there is no saving of prayer in heaven and we become captive in the kingdom of the devil, we have to suffer in our works by the devil.

When we pray in advance, we won¡¯t be ruined whatever we do.
The Holy Spirit becomes the power from behind and accomplishes amazing things.

Romans 8:26 says, ¡°In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.¡±

The Holy Spirit is our great supporter. Today if you believe that the Holy Spirit exists, please say, ¡°Amen.¡± The Holy Spirit is the power from behind and helps us in our works. We must acknowledge that the Holy Spirit is our great supporter who works behind us.
