Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°God, My God.¡±
When people accept God, they usually think of Him as their denomination¡¯s God, their senior pastor¡¯s God, some great figure in Christianity¡¯s God, but He couldn't possibly be their God. The most important thing for each person in Christian life is that they should meet Him in person. They must meet Him face to face to experience that He is their God.

Nicodemus once visited Jesus at night and asked Him some questions. Jesus said during the conversation with Nicodemus, ¡°As yourspirits are dead, but only your flesh is alive God does not communicate with those who are not spiritual. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit so you who were born in flesh can communicate in the physical world, but you are not connected with the spiritual world so you can¡¯t converse with it.¡±
¡°Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit so spiritual people can communicate with the spiritual world.¡±
When we are born, as descendants of Adam and Eve, we live in both the spiritual world and the physical world at the same time. We have souls, but live in our flesh. Since we have spirits, we could converse with God and live with Him. However, after the fall, our spirits became dead. Only our flesh survived so we can converse in our flesh, but we are unable to communicate in our spirits. Jesus said to Nicodemus that we should be born again to revive our spirits. Unless we are born again, we can¡¯t converse with God. Then Nicodemus asked Jesus,
"How can a man be born again? Surely can he enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born?"
Jesus answered, "He must be born of water and the Spirit.¡±
You know, flesh can¡¯t converse with spirit so those who belong to the flesh have to live in the material world, but are unable to join the spiritual world that belongs to the other dimension of the world. Therefore, ¡°God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
We who live in the flesh can¡¯t understand God, who is spirit. Only spirit can converse with spirit so when we believe in Jesus and receive the forgiveness of sins and are born again to become spiritual people, only then can we talk with God. As we become spiritual people and experience God who is Spirit deeper than before, we can enter into a highly joyful life of faith. As we converse with the Holy Spirit, God is with us and we can understand that He is our God.

How can we accept God who is with us? God is just like our thoughts.
Therefore, He can enter into our thinking. Through our thoughts we can converse with God and have miracles that create and produce in life.

As we read today¡¯s Scripture, Isaiah 40:28-31, the Word of God is God¡¯s thinking; we must connect His thinking to our thoughts to have in-depth fellowship with Him. Therefore, when you read Isaiah 40:28-31, don¡¯t do it mechanically but personalize it and put your name in as follows,
¡°Yonggi, do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.¡±
These are God¡¯s thoughts. We must accept them to be changed into our thoughts.

Isaiah 41:10 says, ¡°So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.¡±

God promises to help us so desperately, but it requires our faith first to bring His help to us. So we must not just read, ¡°Do not fear,¡± but ¡°Yonggi, do not fear, for I am with you,¡± instead. When you put your name in it and accept it into your thoughts, your thinking life will change. When God¡¯s thoughts enter into our thinking life, the Holy Spirit works to bring changes and creative works in our life. Maybe God seems to be a million miles away from us, as He exists in His words, when we accept His words in our hearts, our thoughts begin to change into His thoughts.

When we have to face a crisis, we must overcome it with God who is intimately among us. In a crisis, don¡¯t fear but seek God desperately.
We should have courage to meet God personally and experience that God is within us and we are in Him in life. Humans can¡¯t walk on the water, but Peter once walked on the water. After Jesus fed the crowd, immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of Him to the other side. After He had dismissed them, He went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone, but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Then Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. His disciples had never seen any human walk on the water until then. When they saw Him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
While the other disciples were afraid to see Jesus, Peter, on he other hand, replied with boldness, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water."
"Come," Jesus said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. He not only believed in Jesus as a religious teacher, but also as a spiritual being who had the same life like himself. He believed that humans could walk on the water. Not only Jesus but he could walk on the water with bold faith. So after Jesus died and was resurrected, Peter performed the most miracles among His disciples. He raised up the crippled and healed the sick who had various serious diseases. It is because he believed that they could do the same things that Jesus had done.

Jesus said in Mark 16:18 as follows, ¡°they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

Jesus meant, ¡°I have already given you authority to do the same thing I have done.¡± If you boldly do these things and have this experience like Peter, your life of faith will be strengthened and powerful. Even after people believe in Jesus Christ, they tend to ignore to experience through Christ, their life of faith becomes lifeless and empty without any vivid experience. The faith with God in life can always lead us to great expectations of miracles.

Psalm 91:1-8 says, ¡°He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ¡®He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.¡¯ Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.¡±

These are enormous words of God¡¯s promise. The reason why we can¡¯t perform marvelous miracles by these wonderful words of promise is that we are unable to feel God¡¯s presence in us through the fullness of the Holy Spirit. When we are with God, these are a piece of cake, but we can¡¯t feel and be convinced of God¡¯s presence so we fear those terrible disasters. Why are we not convinced of God¡¯s presence?
It is because we are not filled with the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit of God fills us, He enters into us to converse with God and to feel His presence. Christian faith has been set ablaze more powerfully than any other religions in the world because it leads us to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit personally. When the Holy Spirit comes, visions and dreams also come and those miracles of healing beginto manifest among us; we can speak in tongues in prayer and there will be prophecies and divine visions. We can enter into God¡¯s spiritual world. Later with God¡¯s enormous power we can spread the words of God. We can dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty because the Holy Spirit enters into you to say that it is possible! We Christians can be a man and woman with huge power and strength because we can accept God¡¯s thoughts into ours. When His thoughts enter into us to converse with us, the Holy Spirit works to bear His fruit in us. By constant reading the Bible, our thoughts imitate God¡¯s thoughts and by repeating those words of God in our life, His miracles should manifest around us.

Our God wants so badly that He does His will in and around us.

Jeremiah 33:2-3 says, "This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it--the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'¡±

The Lord has already prepared everything we need to work mighty miracles for us. The only thing He wants is that we must come before Him with faith. The relationship between God and us is that of faith.
God first prepares what we need and then wants that we receive His grace with faith. God always prepares love for us and then wants us to receive it with faith.

God said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.¡±
God wants us to receive this promise through our prayer with faith.
It is faith that is needed the most. We must have money materially, but spiritually: faith. If only we have faith, we can get whatever God prepares for us. When we accept God¡¯s thoughts into our hearts and are changed to be like God and move forward with faith, He will allow us unimaginable things through that faith. However, we usually live not by faith but by human deeds so we are losing so many battles inspiritual warfare. In the northern kingdom of Israel, King Ahab presided and his wife was Jezebel. They worshipped Baal and killed all the Lord¡¯s prophets, except Elijah. Thus God was not pleased with Israel and Judah so much that He sent severe famine and drought to them to be starved to death. Then Elijah proclaimed, Now summon the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and I am the only one of the Lord¡¯s prophets left. Let us confront to know who the true Lord is.¡±

Elijah assembled all the people in Israel and the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel and built two altars and let the 450 prophets of Baal first cut one bull into pieces and put it on the wood and call on the name of their god. If their god answered by fire, he would be a true God; if not, they would be punished. The prophets of Baal chose one of the bulls and prepared it first and put it on the wood and then began dancing around the altar and calling, ¡°O Baal, answer us by fire! O Baal, please send us fire.¡± They called on the name of Baal from morning till noon, but there was no fire at all. Then at the sunset Elijah
cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. He prayed: "Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again."
Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, ¡®The LORD -he is God! The LORD -he is God!¡¯ ¡±(1 Kings 18:37-39)

Who wasthe idol and who were the people of the true God? A miracle of fire proved it in front of them. As the Israelites saw that when Elijah prayed to God, the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice and everything, their faith in the Lord was restored right there and then.
Then Elijah commanded them, "Seize the prophets of Baal. Don't let anyone get away!" They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there. Without miracles, Christian faith will be useless. You who believe in Jesus as your Savior and invite the Holy Spirit in you must expect that as you accept God¡¯s words into your thoughts, miracles will happen. Surely miracles will happen to you. God wants to give you miracles. He wants other people to understand the work of God by witnessing your walking with God in your life. We should know that God is on intimate terms with us personally.

When we have our desire and dreams in this positive environment and have faith and declare creative confession, the Holy Spirit begins to hover over us to let us have the world of changes and creation. You know, our God is not a million miles away from us, but when we read the Bible even today, He enters into our thoughts. When you accept the Word of God and pray according to it, God will work with you through the Holy Spirit in this era. It's the blessing of God that makes us prosper spiritually, materially, and physically and have life to the full must be accomplished in our daily lives. God loves us enormously. Therefore, He so badly wants to accomplish great things through you that are totally beyond any human imagination. When we read and listen to the Word of God, we accept His thoughts into ours. When we work according to God¡¯s thoughts, He will send us miracles. We can¡¯t thank God enough for believing in Jesus and living as God¡¯s children, but God grants us the work of miracles of the kingdom of heaven in Jesus. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit and those invisible, inaudible, and incomprehensible works begin to manifest by the work of the Holy Spirit, we can show God¡¯s miracle to the world as children of almighty God.
