Today I would like to share with you the grace of God under the title, ¡°God Who Makes You Become Rich.¡±

God created Adam and Eve and gave them everything they needed in life in the Garden of Eden. Neither harm nor destruction existed in the Garden of Eden and it was filled with beauty that cannot be described, and life there did not lack anything. God warned Adam and Eve, ¡°Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.¡±However, Adam and Eve rebelled against God¡¯s command and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So their spiritual beings died with their souls. God did not want a life of poverty and hunger from the time of creation. Rather He desired Adam and Eve to live in the midst of richness and abundance in the Garden of Eden. God decided to create the kingdom and citizens of heaven on the earth.

So God chose Abraham in order to make His people.

Genesis 12:1-3 says, ¡°The LORD had said to Abram, ¡®Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

God chose Abram to produce God-fearing people on earth through him.
So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; he came into the land of Canaan. However, many times people do not obey God absolutely. Abram left the land of Canaan and went down to Egypt. Why? As he went into the land of Canaan, there was a severe famine in the land; he could not survive due do drought and famine. Therefore, they had to separate from each other. God commanded Abram to leave his country, his people and his father's household, but he did not leave them completely. He gathered all the possessions he had accumulated and took his nephew Lot and all the servants of his father and came to the land of Canaan along with this huge crowd. God was not pleased with them.

Genesis 13:1-2 says, ¡°So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.¡±

Genesis 13:3-7 says, ¡°From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the LORD. Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together. And quarreling arose between Abram's herdsmen and the herdsmen of Lot. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.¡±

Lot accompanied his uncle Abram on the journey to the land of Canaan and received a lot of livestock and wealth from him. As Abram¡¯s nephew Lot became very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold, quarreling arose between Abram¡¯s herdsmen and the herdsmen of Lot so there wasn¡¯t a day of quietness. As they quarreled over better pasture, Abram and Lot could not stay together any more. Therefore, Abram told Lot to leave with his livestock. Lot chose a beautiful plain in Sodom and Gomorrah and left his uncle. However, Abram was blessed much more than before after Lot had parted from him, God called on Abram and said, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.¡±

God used the principle of visualization. When He blesses us, He always asks us to look at our purposed goal; north and south, east and west. God says to us to choose God¡¯s desired place. Abram became very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold and returned to the land of Canaan. In the Bible, we can find that whenever the Israelites believed in and obeyed God, there was always no poverty at all. Now the Jewish people still preside over the whole world. It is because God has blessed them.

Deuteronomy 28:11-14 says, ¡°The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.¡±

The Jewish people have been blessed by God so much that a lot of world class scholars, politicians, and businessmen have come from them. Even though they are situated in a tiny part of the Middle East, the Arabs can¡¯t cope with
Israel.

In the Bible, God blessed those who trusted and obeyed Him with richness and abundance. They all became rich and full. We believers are to be blessed.

Genesis 13:2 says, ¡°Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.¡±

Genesis 26:12-13 tells us about Abraham¡¯s son Issac as follows, ¡°Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.¡±

When Jacob, the son of Isaac, left his home and went to his uncle, he had only his staff, but later he had a great livestock as he returned. David and Solomon were the most powerful and wealthy among Israel kings, but they fully knew that God made them wealthy and abundant. Therefore, David confessed before a large crowd as follows.

1 Chronicles 29:12 says, ¡°Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.¡±

Solomon confessed in Proverbs 10:22, ¡°The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.¡±

God has always blessed those who love and obey Him. Blessings are in God¡¯s hands. He also makes us harvest from all our hard work.

Psalm 127:1-2 says, ¡°Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.¡±

Whether our business or home or whatever it may be, unless God blesses it, all our hard labor can be in vain. Even if farmers work hard, any drought and flood can sweep away all his farming and then their toil can be in vain. Therefore, all human life and death and fortune and misfortune are in the hands of God.

1 Samuel 2:7 says, ¡°The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.¡±

God gives us the blessing. If God is with us, sufferings and trials turn into blessings.

Acts 7:9-10 says, "Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt; so he made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace.¡±

Romans 8:28 says, ¡°And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.¡±

Jesus never begged for anything throughout His life on earth. Jesus took pity on those who were hungry and fed them. When Jesus went up on a mountainside, five thousand men and thousands of women were coming toward him and all of them were very hungry. Jesus said to Philip,
"Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" Philip¡¯s face became pale. He answered Him, ¡°Lord, there are thousands of people here. We don¡¯t have enough money to feed such a crowd or a bakery to buy enormous amounts of bread. Let them spread to find food by themselves.¡±He asked this only to test Philip. Jesus asked His disciples, ¡°Do you have something to eat?¡±Another of his disciples, Andrew, spoke up,
"Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish.¡±
Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. Later His disciples filled twelve baskets with the left over pieces of the five barley loaves and two fish. The Israelites would never include women in their calculation. If the men were five thousand, the women might have been over ten thousand. There were also children so the total number would reach into the twenty or thirty thousand. Jesus fed the huge crowd with five barley loaves and two fish and left twelve baskets of leftovers. This shows historically that the Lord wants to feed us to the full.

Afterward Jesus was also preaching in the wilderness and there was also another hungry crowd listening to His words; four thousand men and over ten thousand people including women and children. Then the Lord let them sit down on the ground and solved their hunger issue by feeding them all.

¡°Jesus called his disciples to him and said, ¡®I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.¡¯
His disciples answered, ¡®Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?¡¯¡®How many loaves do you have?¡¯Jesus asked.
¡®Seven,¡¯they replied, ¡®and a few small fish.¡¯
He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was four thousand, besides women and children.¡±

If the Lord is with us and wants to do something for us, we don¡¯t need to worry about what to eat, what to wear, and what to live with. Even today the Lord says, ¡°For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The Lord took pity on those who followed Him in the wilderness and now can¡¯t help but bless us who live on earth while calling His name.

Matthew 7:7-11 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
¡®Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!¡¯¡±

It is quite wrong if we think that Jesus is so indifferent to our current problems and that He does not take care of us while we are living on earth.
We must keep in mind that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Today our church is filled with the Holy Spirit and has the Cross-centered faith by the Holy Spirit, our tomorrow will be much better than today, next month will be much better than this month and next year will be much better than this year. We have God¡¯s grace that makes us the head, not the tail so we can share what we have with others; if we don¡¯t have anything we have nothing to share. To be involved in the world missions or preach the gospel in foreign countries we must have something to spare. If not, how can we help others with empty hands. You shouldn¡¯t speak any negative words.
Each of you is being loved by God and don¡¯t forget that you are Abraham¡¯s descendants. Like Abraham was greatly blessed by God, we are being blessed by God now. Think positively and cherish visions and dreams in your hearts and speak positively in your life and then God¡¯s blessings will follow you. Today God is with us now.
