Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°People Who Are Weary and Burdened.¡± People living in this world are all carrying laborious and heavy burdens. People with money and power live a difficult and tiring life because of money and power. A life needs a foundation that we can rely on. Jesus has willingly become a foundation that tired people can rely on. We must come to Jesus to get rid of laborious and heavy burdens in life. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, ¡°Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.¡± He is inviting us now. Unless we have reconciliation with Jesus Christ, we can¡¯t have true rest in our hearts and minds.

We should ask ourselves a question. Reformist Martin Luther always prayed before he went to bed. ¡°God, are the heavens and the earth and the whole universe mine or yours? Of course, they are yours. Is life mine or yours? Yes, it is yours, too. Then I can sleep well without any anxiety.¡± If the universe and life belong to us, we should worry about them. However, if Jesus is within us, everything belongs to Him so we can have true rest and comfort. Therefore, we ought to consider deeply within our hearts the question, ¡°Who owns the universe?¡±

1 Chronicles 29:11 says, ¡°Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.¡±

To whom do heaven and earth, night and day and our life belong? If they all belong to God, we can sleep securely. If all of them are our own, we will never enjoy comfort and peace of mind. We need to leave the keeping us safe and secure to God.

Psalm 121:4-6 says, ¡°indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.¡±

According to the Bible, each one of us has a wonderful treasure in our jar of clay. The treasure is Jesus while we are the earthen vessels. Even though we are valueless vessels, so to speak, if only Jesus is within us, we become a treasure vessel.

We must have this treasure Jesus in our jars of clay.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 says, ¡°But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.¡±
We can compare Jesus to a priceless treasure. When we have this treasure within us, we become treasure vessels and Jesus will stay in us. As we accept Jesus as our Savior, no one can trample down this treasure within us. We are hard pressed on every side, but God does not allow us to be crushed because we have Jesus with us. Even though we are earthen vessels, as Jesus stays within us, God protects us because of Jesus. Therefore, if one mistreats us Christians, God protects us as He rises up to keep Jesus safe; if God takes revenge on our enemies, no one could stand it. As those who are hard pressed on every side have treasures in them, their enemies will be shattered completely.

Romans 8:31-32 says, ¡°What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?¡±

We must stop our own accounting, but include us who are with Jesus Christ in it. As His Son is with us, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? However, mere nominal faith without real faith in Jesus is meaningless. God loves us and takes good care of us to protect His Son Jesus Christ in us, jars of clay.

Luke 10:19 says, ¡°I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.¡±

When we have Jesus in us, our enemies cannot rob us, kill us, or destroy us. Our bodies are treasure vessels which have Jesus in them so nothing can harm us.
When our enemy devil tries to rob, kill, and destroy us, if we resist him in the name of Jesus, the devil will flee from us in seven ways even if he comes to us in one way. Even if the devil attacks us, as we have Jesus in us, our earthen vessels have enormous power! Therefore, when we have Jesus Christ in us, our jars of clay can¡¯t be judged as good or bad, but Jesus within them is highly estimated so even if we are hard pressed on every side, we won¡¯t be crushed because our treasure Jesus is within us so the devil¡¯s attempts have to fail.

¡°What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?¡±(Romans 8:31-32)

¡°I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.¡±(Luke 10:19)

As we have Jesus within us, our enemy devil can¡¯t trample on us easily.
We must know the following, ¡°Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free," and resist the devil strongly and boldly. We are perplexed, but not in despair. This is because Jesus is in us earthen vessels. When we rely on Him, even if we are perplexed, we can¡¯t be in despair.

Psalm 44:7 says, ¡°but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.¡±

When we have Jesus in us, even if our enemy devil tries to hurt us, this Jesus will keep us from harm.

Romans 12:19 says, ¡°Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: ¡®It is mine to avenge; I will repay,¡¯ says the Lord.¡±

There are many times when we have to suffer from pain and hardship. God wants us not to take revenge on our own, but leave it to Him because it is His to avenge. If we ask God to take revenge on our behalf, He will do it! Thankfully God can take revenge, but in my experience He always takes time to do it. If I say, ¡°Oh, God! Please take revenge right now!¡±, He will say, ¡°Wait for awhile.¡± If I wait and wait for Him to take revenge for me, later I come to forget who my enemy is! Nevertheless, God says to us, ¡°Do not take revenge.¡±

1 Peter 2:9 says, ¡°But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.¡±

We are no more common people. As we act like noble people, we must act with Jesus. We are persecuted, but not abandoned. God takes care of and protects us until the end because of Jesus who is in us. People usually think that they persecute Christians, but it is not us who are being persecuted but Jesus who is within us; they can¡¯t succeed in their persecution against us.

Romans 8:38-39 says, ¡°For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.¡±

God loves His only Son Jesus Christ beyond our imagination; when we embrace Jesus, God who loves Him will love us so dearly at the same time. According to the Bble,
we are struck down, but not destroyed. To strike down means to kill. Even if situations like death come, we will not be destroyed as long as Jesus is with us.
Either death or life, both are already conquered by Jesus. As long as Jesus holds us tight in His bosom, even death can¡¯t take us to hell.

Psalm 27:1 says, ¡°The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?¡±

When we hold Jesus tight, His power will be with us so we won¡¯t be destroyed even if we are struck down.

Psalm 37:23-24 says, ¡°If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.¡±

When we hold Jesus in our bosom, there is nothing to worry about because He will uphold us. When we have treasure in our jars of clay, even if we throw them in the street, nobody can steal those earthen vessels as long as they hold treasure within them. Through today¡¯s Scripture, we can understand that each one of us is not a highly valued jar of clay or highly esteemed vessel, but God blesses these earthen vessels because they hold Jesus within them. If you think that each one of you is a mere earthen vessel, you misunderstand yourself. As Christ stays within you, you are treasure vessels. You deserve spiritual, material, and physical prosperity and a full life. Please repeat after me, ¡°I am not an earthen vessel, but a treasured vessel having Jesus in it.¡± Even angels in heaven respect us and take good care of us. Whosoever has Jesus Christ within him does not need to be despised and humiliated. It is because he has treasure Jesus in him so he becomes noble and respectful. Christians believe in Jesus and serve God so they are being loved by God like Jesus is. We must not underestimate ourselves. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a people belonging to God because Jesus is within us. Today Jesus has come into each one of you and in me now.

Hebrews 13:8 says, ¡°Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.¡±

When we look up to Jesus, He will lead us to the path He wants for us to take.
Martin Luther and Calvin had been trapped within Catholic¡¯s well. However, as they read and studied the Word of God, their eyes were widely opened. By the Word of God and faith, they began to dream an ideal church being built by the grace of the Lord and started the Reformation. Besides them there have been countless people who have had new dreams and goals while looking up to God.
God says to those who have Jesus Christ in them, ¡°Look west and north and south and east. Then I will make you look with God¡¯s eyes beyond your own perspective.¡± Miracles happen. There have been numerous people who have new dreams and goals while looking up to God!

Hudson Taylor came to look at China with God¡¯s perspective. Stud began looking at Africa through God¡¯s eyes. William Carey started to look at India through God¡¯s merciful eyes towards it and dedicated his whole life to India. Even today God speaks to us, ¡°"Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west.¡± No matter what happens, we should open our eyes of faith and look to the dreams and visions that God gives us today. Then as God Himself is our treasure, we will have treasure within us; God possesses heaven so we will become citizens of heaven. As God is always a Victor, we will become a victor, too.

As we have Jesus within us, we must live a life together with Jesus in every area of our life. We should not plan our future and think of our life without Jesus. When we eat, drink, and work together with Jesus, we will become a whole victor before God. When we come to church and pray and listen to the word of God, we come to look north and south, east and west; then God will take us to look at them together with Him. Nothing is impossible as long as God is with us!
