Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, “Wish, Dream and a Wonderful Miracle.” As we live our lives, we face various sufferings. When this happens, we should not give up by being discouraged and falling into despair. We must rather go to the Lord with faith by having dreams and hopes that will solve problems. The Bible shows a story of a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years who met Jesus and her destiny was totally changed. This woman had a burning desire in her heart to be healed. Furthermore, she had a firm conviction that even if she could not receive the laying on of hands directly from Jesus, she would be healed as soon as she touched the fringe of His robe. The woman touched Jesus’ clothes with the dream that she will be healed and received healing immediately from her twelve year disease. In Leviticus Chapter 15, there is a regulation about a bleeding diseases and those who have this disease cannot come before God to worship. Anyone or any thing that may touch these kinds of people become defiled. Therefore, this woman with the bleeding disease could not go to the temple or any family gatherings. Her physical and Psychological pain was far beyond human imagination. For twelve years She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. She spent almost all her wealth and became poverty-stricken. Her physical and psychological pain and material poverty drove her to absolute despair. However, disease is not the only painful thing. In this earthly life, another pain, that of poverty, is also hard to stand. According to a recent report of Korean Statistics, the current youth unemployment rate is at an all time high. Furthermore, Korea’s poverty ratio of the old is also the highest among OECD, higher than the average of the developed countries in the West. In other words, Korea’s poverty ratio of the older age group ranks the top of OECD, four times higher than the average OECD. The suicide ratio of the old in Korea is also at first place among OECD. Regardless of sex or age, everyone has a hard time to live on. Some people decide to choose the unthinkable such as committing suicide while giving up hope in the difficulties in life. The woman who was subject to bleeding could not endure the extreme mental and physical pain so she was on the verge of death. The devil relentlessly attacked her so she lost almost all hope, dream, and faith and helplessly waited for death only. The devil works behind all diseases. People usually say, “Disease is merely physical. How could you say there is the devil behind it?” However, the Bible clearly says that the devil’s oppression exists behind all diseases. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil. Therefore, when we cast out the devil, our disease is gone, too. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” The devil keeps working to conquer and dominate us. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus means, “It is the devil who harasses you, not God. He always gives you good things and life!” When we suffer from difficulties, the devil is working behind the scenes. This woman had received all kinds of medical treatments for twelve years, but was not healed at all. She could not stand it any more. She was separated from society and could not enter her house to meet her family members. She was crying only to wait for the day of death in an isolated lonely place. It was despair. Who could help her? However, someone came to her to plant a dream about Jesus Christ in her heart. Matthew 4:23-24 says, “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.” You misunderstand Jesus if you think of Him as only a religious One. Jesus saved the lost but also healed the sick. More than half of His ministry was spent on healing the sick. Christianity is a religion of healing. It heals mental and physical diseases, and any other disease in life. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. In His time on earth, the news of Jesus Christ spread across Galilee and numerous sick people gathered around Him wherever he went. What’s the difference concerning Jesus between that time and now? And why isn’t it easy to receive healing from Jesus? It is because something is wrong with our life of faith. Two thousand years ago Jesus forgave the sinners’ sin and healed the sick, but now there are so many churches where Jesus seems to stop healing the sick. We must fix this. As you believe in Jesus and walk with Him in your hearts, He must not only forgive sins but also heal the sick through you. The gospel without healing is not a gospel at all. Jesus without healing the sick can’t be Christ. Christianity without the cross can’t be Christianity. Jesus was torn in flesh and shed His blood on the cross and said, “It is finished!” He has become our Savior. Therefore, now Jesus Christ takes care of us by forgiveness and righteousness and gives us the Holy Spirit and heals us and liberates us from poverty and curses and gives us the hope of eternal life as He resurrected from death. This Jesus who wants us to prosper spiritually, materially, and physically hasn’t changed at all. We must hear the good news about Jesus Christ and receive the breath of life in our hearts and cast out the devil. Then we can accomplish the goal of our desire as we plant hope and dreams in our hearts. Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” The Lord says that faith comes from hearing His messages. “It will be done according to your faith.” That’s just it. Mark 5:27-28 says, “When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Faith came into her heart where she would be healed if she just touched Jesus’ cloak and healing overflowed over her as soon as she touched the fringe of His cloak. Even you should have conviction that you will be healed as you worship and pray in Yoido Full Gospel Church. People may accuse you of being ignorant, but don’t worry about their criticism. We must do what God wants us to do. God has given us Jesus as Savior who forgives us our sins and gives us the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing, blessings, resurrection and eternal life. As you accept Jesus as your Savior, your life should be wholly different. The Bible shows that the breath of life flows into us. In Ezekiel, he saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley; it was full of bones. God asked him, "Son of man, can these bones live?" He said, "Oh my, how can these dry bones come to life?" God said, “Prophesy to the bones.” Ezekiel 37:9-10 says, “Then he said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet?a vast army.” Even dry bones can come to life by the Word of God. When the breath of God blows to us, we will become prosperous spiritually, materially, and physically. God’s breath must fill our faith to the full. There are two kinds of people; some live with the dry spirits of death while others live with the live spirits of life. How marvelous if the breath of life overflows in our lives! However, those unbelievers are filled with the dry spirits of death. When I become dry, I become sick and distressed and sorrowful and painful. Then I begin to pray, “Lord, please pour out a burning flames of the Holy Spirit into my heart and let the flames of the heavenly Holy Spirit burn in me.” Then the flames of God begin to burn in my heart and the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud fills me to the full. We must come before God and seek the breath of life. As Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones they came to life and became a vast army. Where can we get this breath of life? It is at the cross of Calvary of Jesus Christ. If we go to the cross of Calvary and pray, “Breath of life. come to me through the cross!” the marvelous breath of life such forgiveness, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing, blessings, and eternal life will blow toward you. When it enters into you, you can experience the work of the Holy Spirit and taste the overwhelming grace of God. Psalm 103:3-5 says, “who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.” “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” When you confess with your mouth, you pray very well. When you feel tired, fatigued, and worn out, only breath of life can make you happy and joyful in your life. The woman who had been subject to bleeding for a long time believed that if she just touched Jesus’ cloak the breath of life would overflow and she would be healed. She must have said it to herself over and over again. “You will be healed as soon as you touch Jesus’ cloak.” With that hope she always confessed it with her lips and had hope and dream that she would be healed when she touched Jesus’ cloak. She confessed her hope and dream with her mouth. “I will be healed. Everything will be okay if I just touch His cloak. Then I will become healthy again.” With our own mouth confession, we can encourage our faith. You must experience your faith in your hearts through your own mouth confession. “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” When we confess our faith, the strong wavelength of our mouth confession will bring changes and creation to us. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters, but nothing happened. While the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters when the earth was formless and empty and darkness was over the surface of the deep, when did the work of God begin? As soon as the Word, “Let there be light,” came out of His mouth, creative works began to work! The Holy Spirit created the whole earth through His mighty mouth confession. When you pray, the Holy Spirit begins to hover over your heart. When you express God’s coming blessings with your mouth confession in your prayer, mighty changes and miracles will manifest! We usually think that we are helpless and powerless, but as the years go by we can find that what we think and speak comes true! We always want to drink the river of life; if we surely understand Jesus Christ through the Fivefold Gospel and confess Him with our mouths, the breath of life will overflow in our lives. The river of life, the wind of life, and the work of life will happen so our spirits will prosper as our bodies and our circumstances also prosper. Health will be accomplished!
