Today we should accept the Word of the Lord Who comes to us and spread His hands toward us, saying, ¡°Come to Me, All You Who Are Weary and Burdened.¡±
(Matt. 11:28~30)
All people live a tiring life by carrying laborious and heavy burdens. Many of them think that only they carry such heavy burdens, but each of us is carrying different laborious and heavy burdens. Stress is one of the most frequent words in modern society; it causes various diseases among us. Unlike the old days many diseases these days are called neurogenic or psychogenic diseases. These indicate diseases which are rooted in the heart.

Ecclesiastes 1:8 says, ¡°All things are wearisome.¡±

Not only all people but also all creatures are wearisome. Everything is wearisome on the earth. Then this laborious and heavy burden comes to us due to human sins. Jesus refers to us as ¡°all you who are weary and burdened.¡± This is due to the laborious and heavy burdens in our life. Human beings lost the meaning of life due to sin. They still don¡¯t know why they are here and where they are going. Due to greed they attempted to be equal to God and Adam and Eve were banished before God while their inner beings were dead and only their physical beings were alive but naked before Him. Every day we witness that humans live a weary and burdensome life in this cursed land. The Bible clearly records the pain of life in the cursed land.

¡°To the woman he said, ¡®I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.¡¯" (Genesis 3:16)

Adam was deceived by his wife into taking the forbidden fruit.

¡°To Adam he said, ¡®Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' ¡¯Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.¡®"(Genesis 3:17-19)

God judged him to live a wearisome and tiring life. Furthermore, His punishment brought conflicts and strife. Sin brings conflicts between married couples, hostility between siblings, and strife between parents and children so they even kill each other.

Genesis 4:8 says, ¡°Now Cain said to his brother Abel, ¡®Let's go out to the field.¡¯ And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.¡±

Conflicts between parents and children become more extreme. So humans take great pains to solve human troubles. However, they still keep doing sinful, unrighteous, and filthy deeds which deserve abandonment from God. How can we fix these wrong deeds in human life? Jesus invites us, saying, ¡°Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened.¡± If we come to Him, He will fix us. We are lost in our path of life, but Jesus is the way! He is the way in the universe, but we lost our way and are still wandering in our life. Should we study more or discipline ourselves harder or create many more religions for us? It is wrong! As Jesus is the way, we can find the ultimate way as we plunge ourselves into His bosom. If we desert Jesus, we lose our way; if we jump into His bosom, we finally find the way!
We can have peace of mind, true joy and delight and happiness only when we enter the right way. If we go astray from it, there will be no peace or joy or happiness. Therefore, we must stick to the way and live at the center of it, we must invite Jesus into our lives because He is the way! In order to do that, we must accept Jesus as our Savior and seek His help and pray to Him. Then He will shine a bright light in our path since He is the way.

Matthew 18:12-14 says, "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.¡±

Therefore, God doesn¡¯t want any of us to become a lost sheep. Rather He wants all of us to enter the right path in our life. Whosoever loses the way has to wander and drift away. Only those who stick to the way can bear fruit. Next, if we find the truth, we must come to Jesus because He is the truth Himself. There is no difficulty in Him. When we come to the Lord and rejoice over Him and converse with Him, we can stand on the truth and never be deceived.

John 8:44 says, ¡°You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.¡±

The devil is a lie itself. When we follow him, we will end up with lies and failures.
When Jesus says, ¡°Come to Me,¡± He is the right way so He invites us not to be deceived. All those who commit sins due to the sin of Adam and Eve must die because the wages of sin is death.

Romans 5:19 says, ¡°For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.¡±

Romans 5:21 says, ¡°so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.¡±

Jesus has become our life. ¡°He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.¡±
Jesus who is the life even over death can make us live again over the other side of hell. Even though the devil makes our world filled with total despair, Jesus is the resurrection and the life. When we accept Jesus, we have life itself. Even if we have strict discipline and morality and various religions in our life, they can¡¯t guarantee us life. As Jesus is the life, we invite life when we accept Jesus. We are not saved by accepting a religion with faith, but by accepting Jesus as our Savior. It is a great blessing to give Jesus to the world as Savior.

Jesus also clearly shows us whether we should live by deeds or by faith. When God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, He killed an animal and made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. There was a symbolic meaning to it. Spiritually speaking, when they were driven out from God, Jesus died like an animal to bleed to settle their sins and clothed them with His skin. Even when they were banished from the Garden of Eden, God poured out the blood of Jesus and skinned Him to settle their sins caused by taking the forbidden fruit and made them to live by the grace of Jesus. No matter how hard humans try with their naked bodies, they can¡¯t survive eternal cold. This shows that humans are totally unable to keep the law of God on their own.

Romans 3:10-12 says, ¡°As it is written: ¡®There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.¡¯"

Romans 3:20 says, ¡°Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.¡±

Thus humans can¡¯t help but sin. God already knew that we could not live on our own so He sent Jesus Christ in human flesh to give us His credit. By dying on the cross Jesus settled all human sins and made us righteous by giving His sinless life to us as a gift.

Romans 3:21-22 says, ¡°But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference.¡±

When God calls us before Him, we can boldly come before Him with eternal righteousness due to the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are regarded totally sinless so we move forward while straightening ourselves up before God. We receive life by faith due to the grace of Jesus. Grace is given free of charge. Only if we believe in Jesus by His free grace, we receive eternal life. Only if we believe in Jesus, our sins are settled and then the collaborative Holy Spirit will enter into our life. As the Holy Spirit lives with us and in us, our former sinful life will fade away and we can live a new life in true righteousness and holiness.

Jesus says, ¡°For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." ¡°Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.¡±
¡°My yoke is easy and My burden is light¡± comes from Jesus¡¯ times in the Middle East, farmers would put a heavy yoke on the cow and let it plow a field. When there would be a mother and a calf in a field, their yoke was much bigger than usual. Farmers put the yoke on the cow and set the calf under the yoke. While the yoke was put on the mother cow only, the calf, outside, seemed to wear it on its neck together with the mother. We Christians put our heavy burdens on the yoke of Jesus and stand beside Him under His yoke and walk together with Him. Jesus carries all our weary and heavy burdens while we enjoy a peaceful and comfortable life. The yoke is always easy and light to the calf. It is because its mother cow always takes it all with a gentle and humble heart. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you should take the cross of Jesus and live a life while obeying with faith.

2 Corinthians 4:10 says, ¡°We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.¡±

Jesus¡¯ death is for our death. Jesus took our death in His body so if we walk together with Him, the life of Jesus will be fully manifested in us.

John 10:27-28 says, ¡°My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.¡±

Jesus took your burdens and my burden with His burning love; if we live under His yoke, we will enjoy the Fivefold Gospel and the Threefold Blessing. Jesus took the yoke of the Fivefold Gospel: the yokes of sin, diseases, poverty and nakedness, death and resurrection, and walking with the Holy Spirit. Jesus took all of these yokes and invites us, saying, ¡°Take My yoke.¡± When we put ourselves under His yoke, Jesus will carry all our burdens and we will live together with Him while experiencing God¡¯s grace free of charge. You are all those who are weary and burdened. When you come to the Lord, you will stand under the cross of Jesus. You will feel His cross as if it's yours. However, Jesus was crucified on the cross while we were put on His cross. While Jesus was on the cross, He took us with Him on the cross. You may think that you are crucified with Jesus on the cross, but you do not carry the cross.

Hebrews 9:22 says, ¡°In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.¡±

Then Jesus died on the cross by shedding His blood to redeem us from our sins and to clothe us with His righteousness.

Galatians 3:26-27 says, ¡°You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.¡±

Jesus has become our robe of righteousness. Whosoever believes in Jesus will become righteous by His righteousness. Therefore, when we believe in Jesus, His righteousness becomes our righteousness, His healing becomes our healing, His richness becomes our richness, and His resurrection becomes our resurrection. We are not alone and lonely. The Lord calls us and invites us to come beneath His yoke. He calls you, ¡°Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. You don¡¯t need to suffer a painful life, but come to Me. Come beneath My yoke. Throw all your burdens to My yoke.¡± When we commit all our burdens to the yoke of Jesus and invite the Lord as our Lord and move forward by faith while putting all things to Him, He will take all our burdens as He is our humble and gentle God.
We can walk with Him throughout our life with peace of mind. We can¡¯t live without the Lord.
