Today I would like to share the grace of God under the title, ¡°Your Old Man Will Dream Dreams.¡±
Abraham waited for more than ten years expecting that God will give him a son. However, his prayers were without dreams, and time went by without his prayers being answered. One day, God took him outside to show him the stars in the sky, and said, ¡°So shall your offspring be.¡± Then Abraham dreamed of having many descendants by looking at the stars in the sky. He prayed with faith by having dreams and finally got the answer to his prayer.

Prayer without a dream is an empty prayer. To receive an answer to prayer, we must see the result in a dream in advance; God seeks those who have dreams and also answers their prayers.

To conquer a new world is possible with a dream. Abraham left his hometown of 75 years and started for the unknown land of Canaan because God gave him the dream for it.

Genesis 12:1 says, ¡°The LORD had said to Abram, ¡®Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.¡¯ ¡±

At the age of 75, Abraham already had a map of the land of Canaan in his heart so he could leave for it with a new dream. Our journey into the universe and conquering the moon are all as a result of our dreams. Once they were thought impossible, but all became possible because someone dreamed about them. Dreams make the impossible possible.

Mark 11:24 says, ¡°Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.¡±

How can we know whether we receive it or not? We can dream about it.
Without a dream, our goal of life is to drift. We become depressed and helpless.

Proverbs 29:18 says, ¡°Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.¡±

If we have no dream, we will ruin our lives wandering here and there and end up in defeat. We should have a role model who inspires our dream. Moses had a God-given dream in his heart and the Israelites also had the same dream with Moses. When Moses and the Israelites moved forward with the same dream, God was with them to help them enter the land of the promise. Moses and the Israelites were dreamers. Other people didn¡¯t have a dream, but Moses and the Israelites dreamed God-given dreams and transcended the worldly material world and lived with a dream in the spiritual world. We have to choose either human claims or relying on a dream; the third dimensional material world or the fourth dimensional spiritual world.

Exodus 3:10 says, ¡°So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

Deuteronomy 26:8-9 says, ¡°So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with miraculous signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.¡±

We should determine whether we follow human thoughts or the guidance of our dream. The Israelites cried out to return to Egypt following their own thoughts while Moses decided to follow the God-given dream.

Moses said, ¡°Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.¡±
The Israelites were merely physical so they trusted only in physical things, not spiritual things which are invisible and inaudible. However, what Moses believed was the spiritual world and not the physical world. You know, those who believe in Jesus are born again and their spirits are revived. Therefore, Christians live in two worlds at the same time. We experience our physical world with our bodies, but live in the spiritual world through the Holy Spirit. Spiritually we have positive thoughts, dreams and visions, faith, and confess our faith with our mouths. Therefore, we Christians are often confused. ¡°We belong to the Israelites like Moses, but we don¡¯t trust our circumstances but rather our dreams. As God guides and leads us through His dreams, we follow His world of dreams in our lives. When we give up our human thoughts and follow God-given dreams, we each become a man and a woman of faith. The Lord says, ¡°But my righteous one will live by faith.¡±
It is because a dream is a God-given vessel for His blessing. It is also God¡¯s language to converse with us. Only when we have this dream can God talk with us and then we have a vessel to receive His blessing.

Psalm 37:4 says, ¡°Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.¡±

Psalm 81:10 says, ¡°I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.¡±

The new world where we live with God is the world of dreams. Above all, God always asks us whether we have a dream or not. Before He performs miracles, He asks us first, ¡°Do you have a dream in you?¡± As Jesus and his disciples were leaving the city of Jericho, a blind man, Bartimaeus, was sitting by the roadside begging.
When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Jesus stopped and asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" When the blind beggar at the roadside cried out to Jesus, his desire must obviously have been for the recovery of his sight! However, Jesus wanted him to confess his wish with his mouth. ¡°What do you want me to do for you?¡±
Jesus already knew what he wanted. Nevertheless, Jesus asked him what he wanted Him to do for him because He wanted to confirm whether this beggar had a desperate dream to receive sight or not. The blind beggar definitely had a dream to be healed from blindness. Therefore, when Jesus asked him, the blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see." When he confessed his desperate desire, his eyes were opened right there!
We should also pray with this desperate dream in our hearts. Prayer without a burning dream is in vain. To dream is the motivating power for a new life. To dream is a driving force in our life. Even a fancy car can¡¯t move forward without fuel. It is the same with us; if we don¡¯t have a dream, we can¡¯t move on, but stop where we are. Without a dream we have to be stuck where we are. Dreams lead us to change and improvement day by day. Therefore, we must know that a dream is a driving force in our life.

Psalm 107:30 says, ¡°They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.¡±

Those who follow God with a dream will be led to a God-desired haven. God will restore their lost dream. And if at first they had a dream, but as time went by without their dream being fulfilled, they almost give up on their dream then God will come to help restore the lost dream.

Now there is in Jerusalem a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda. Sometimes angels of God came down from heaven and stirred the water. Anyone who would plunge himself into the pool first could be healed of whatever disease he may have had. An invalid of thirty-eight years was there. He had no one that would help him to enter the pool first.
Even when he tried to go into the water, someone else beat him to it, and was healed and left there saying, ¡°Hallelujah!¡± For 38 years he had dreamed to be healed, but always ended up second so he almost lost his dream and was in despair. When Jesus saw him lying there, Jesus asked him, ¡°Why are you lying here?¡±
¡°It is so clear to everyone that I am lying here to be healed. Why are you asking me?¡± However, the Lord always asks our dream before He helps us.
"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."
Then Jesus asked him, ¡°Do you believe that God can heal you right now?¡±
He answered, ¡°I want to believe it, but my turn won¡¯t come.¡±
Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." Then he could rise up and walk instantly! He was delivered from the 38 years of bondage to disease. The Lord asked him first, ¡°Do you want to get well?¡± because He wanted to restore his lost dream and then work a miracle through that dream. We should live with dream in our hearts. The Holy Spirit also gives us dream and desire and stirs change and creative works within us.

Philippians 2:13 says, ¡°for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.¡±

Our desire is our dream. The Lord first restores our dream and works through it.
We work together with the Holy Spirit through our thoughts, dreams, faith and creative confession while having fellowship with Him freely.

Ephesians 3:20 says, ¡°Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.¡±

We must have a dream and set a goal for our life. Having power to set a goal and to accomplish it can improve our quality of life. At the age of 80 Moses delivered the Israelites from 430 years of slavery in Egypt through a God-given dream.
At the age of 85 Caleb went to Hebron and destroyed his enemies and finally occupied it with a God-given dream. Age has nothing to do with our dream.
¡°I am of an old age. How can I do something now?¡± These self-defeating words can kill your dream. Age does not matter at all. If you have a dream, it will come true. You should have a definite dream. Jesus Christ came to the earth to give us a dream and a hope from God. When we preach having a dream and hope through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, people will come to church. Therefore, we should challenge with dreams. If we try harder on our own without any dream, it is to no avail. If we believe that God is with us and keep on challenging with God-given dreams, the Holy Spirit will come to us to make signs of amazing change that follow us.

Therefore, we look to the dream and live with dreams in our hearts. Where there is no vision, the people perish. When Moses delivered the Israelites from 430 years of slavery in Egypt, he had no spear and sword. He only had a God-given dream in his heart. It was his dream that God would fight for the Israelites. With this dream he believed it and confessed it with his mouth. Then the Israelites confronted Egypt with this dream and they had great victory against Egypt. You know, Korea has to give thanks to God because we have so many churches now. Because of you we have many reasons to give thanks. ¡°We are only a handful of people!¡± It doesn¡¯t matter how many people there are.
¡°If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move.¡±
Our faith is much bigger than a mustard seed! ¡°If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.¡± We must pray not only for our spiritual, physical, and material prosperity but also for our country and nation. Then Korea will become a hopeful country for our youth. Something good is going to happen. Miracles will happen to us. Therefore, we can give thanks to God!
